Here we go!
The start July 04 Well, heres a pic of my tank as it was just setup. I had made up the saltwater and had it running at a constant tempature when I finally discovered a new LFS (local fish store) in my area called "Petorama" in mansfield and when I arrived i was informed that I could actually add the live sand as well as live rock and even FISH! So I rushed home with 40 pounds of live sand (sand with good bacteria in it) 13 pounds (another 13 were added soon after and are in the pic) and 6 damselfish in a fanciful array of colors. Well after the sand setteled i took this pic!

More Rock! August 04 Well, another hobbiest in the area was moving and he offered to sell me a portion of his live rock for a discount so i jumped right on it! the rock had alot of purple (technically coraline) algea on it and was a great addition to the tank!

Clownfish, Goby, Chromis and Cleanup! October 04 Could I ever be satisfied, NO of course not! I went back to petorama after my tank was cycled (ready for fish) and bought a pair of clownfish (marlin and coral) but unfortanatly they parished. I then went to another LFS that I found and bought a varity of "cleaning crew" memebers such as starfish, crabs, and snails. Then, later in the month I returned to gloat about my sucess and bought a diamond back goby, who would sift the sand to his great delight! Also, i replaced the clownfish with my two current clowns Nemo and Nemona! Then, I blew my mowing money on a beatiful purple/yellow/orange saltwater angelfish that I named "The Queen" as she was, and still is one of my showfish. A week or two later I then added a school of green fish named chromis. A busy bussy intermission but heres the pic of everyone! Ah, i must add my rocks fell down so I rearagged them in this new fashon!

Even MORE rock, MORE sand, and Coral Lights! December 04 Since the last update I'd added more sand, gotten rid of all of the chromis and was left with less fish ( a lighter "bioload") I also recived 10lbs of quite dead "live rock" from hawii which i "cured" (let it sit in another tank till everything died that was going to) and added it in. Then I got for Christmas a t-5 lighting unit which would allow me to have corals which require high lighting. Well heres a pic, its really still clowdy from the adding of the sand sorry guys!

New tank, new fish! April 05 Well, due to the arrival of a new bed i needed to move my aquarium. This difficult task was made easier by buying a completly new tank and transfered everything to it. This new tank was "reef ready" meaning that it had an "overflow" which added water to a "sump" a box below to filter the water. I'd previously had a big ugly overflow in the tank and this was a welcome improvemnt. Along with the overflow the tank also had an elagant black background which adds to a reef tank more than a cheezy tape on one. When i picked up the tank I also added my favorite fish a manderian. He eats little bug like things off the live rock and sand and also, the rare thing, is that he ate frozen foods. So he was perfect! Sorry no pic this time :(
This and the current tank is all I have now, check back soon for more updateds!

One of my former damsels
This is one of my damsels, the yellow tailed variety and this was probably the best shot that I got in the first 6 months of my reefkeeping!
